With the Winter Olympics now over, auto show fever is about to invade Vancouver. The Vancouver International Auto Show, owned and operated by the New Car Dealers Association of BC (www.newcardealers.ca) will open to the public on March 30 and run through April 4.

For the past 90 years the annual Vancouver International Auto Show has been the premier automotive showcase in Western Canada. In a time when everything appears to be going virtual, the auto show remains a truly tactile exhibition offering the ability to see, smell and touch 450 of the world’s most spectacular new cars from the leading automotive manufacturers.

Over the course of the six-day event, tens of thousands of enthusiasts will enjoy a family friendly experience that includes the manufacturer showcases, special feature vehicles, the latest in automotive products and accessories. Additional special features of the 2010 Show include a motorcycle expo for two-wheel enthusiasts, an aftermarket product marketplace and the extremely popular Classic Alley, a tribute showcase to the grand history of the automobile with spectacular vehicles from some of British Columbia’s most impressive private collections.
 
The 2010 Auto Show will be the last event to take place under one of Vancouver’s most iconic roofs: the air-supported dome at BC Place Stadium. Once the Show is done, BC Place Stadium will be transformed with a new $485-million retractable roof.

Saturday                             10:00 am – 10:00 pm           
Sunday                               10:00 am – 6:00 pm
 
The Vancouver International Auto Show is the largest trade and consumer event in British Columbia. Attendance at the 2009 Auto Show was over 76,000.
