AURORA - September 22, 2006- The Canadian Automotive Institute (CAI) is proud to announce the launch of an exclusive partnership between the school and Canadian auto dealer and Affaires automobiles magazines.
The partnership contains a number of elements that will make the CAI a regular contributor to the content in the magazines, starting with a unique contest that will run in each issue, testing readers’ knowledge of all areas of the retail automotive business. Running in both the English and French magazines, the contest will bring a little extra fun to the issues, while reinforcing the CAI’s role in educating tomorrow’s industry leaders. Under the agreement, Canadian auto dealer and Affaires automobiles magazines will make their expertise and resources an extension of the CAI’s marketing and communications efforts, helping to raise and reinforce the profile of the school within the industry and across Canada.
"The retail automotive industry needs to attract talented, knowledgeable young people," says Niel Hiscox, Canadian auto dealer Publisher and Vice President, CLB Media Inc. "Attracting people to the industry, giving them the foundation they need to successfully start their careers, and the skills to move forward are all critical to the future prosperity of our business. More than any other educational resource in the country, the Canadian Automotive Institute is working to address each of these areas. We’re very proud to contribute to the work the school is doing."
From the viewpoint of the CAI, Canadian auto dealer and Affaires automobiles magazines offer benefits the school couldn’t find anywhere else.
"As a publishing partner, they are able to offer us national exposure in both official languages, with publications that are uniquely focused on the information needs of automotive dealerships," says CAI Dean Marie-Noelle Bonicalzi. "The range of tools they are making available to us is truly impressive, going beyond the print to include digital and Web elements, seminars for our students and more. Perhaps most importantly, they understand what we are working to accomplish at the Institute, and are truly committed to helping us meet our goals."
Both the CAI and Canadian auto dealer / Affaires automobiles expect that their interaction will grow well beyond the basic agreement. "There is tremendous room for growth in our relationship," mentions Niel Hiscox. "With a little creativity and a sense of fun, we can build something very special for the school, our magazines and most importantly, the industry itself. "
