E-mail Print PDF

Natural Resources Canada has announced the winners of the 2010 ecoENERGY for Vehicles Awards, which lists the most fuel-efficient vehicles in each category for the year. Ford, Mazda and Toyota are the leading manufacturers with two category winners each.

Since 1999, the Government of Canada has identified the most fuel-efficient new vehicles available in ten different categories as winners of the ecoENERGY for Vehicles Awards (formerly the EnerGuide Awards). Administered by NRCan’s Office of Energy Efficiency, the annual ecoENERGY for Vehicles Awards go to the manufacturers of the most fuel-efficient vehicles for each model year. The 2010 ecoENERGY for Vehicles Awards will be presented at the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto in partnership with the Canadian automobile industry and their associations.

In mid-January, the 2010 Fuel Consumption Guide will be released. The guide will be available at most new vehicle dealerships, motor vehicle licence agencies, participating Canadian Automobile Association offices, participating Caisses populaires et d'économie Desjardins in Quebec and participating Credit Union offices across Canada.
