McLaren Automotive unveiled its MP4-12C Tuesday afternoon at an event in Toronto, marking the company's official move into the Canadian marketplace through its newest retailer - Pfaff Automotive Partners in Toronto.

Canadian auto dealer rediscovered archived pictures of India's auto industry taken by Jim Bell during his 2009 visit. Here is what Jim said about the experience:

It was  a bit disconcerting, Jim noted,to find armed guards, not only outside a dealership but within its showroom.

On a recent trip to Thailand, Jim Bell took in more than the usual tourist sites. He also made a point to visit a number of auto dealers to see how they compared to what we are used to here in North America.

As was the case on an earlier trip to India, he found there were many similarities but just as many differences.
